Five Months

Hello Everyone!

Well it has been quite some time between my first and second posts but I am happy to announce the birth of my son "Baby H". He was born August 30th, 2014 at high noon. It has been an interesting first five months, very trying on the sleep but all worth it.

Baby H is doing very well and seems to be a healthily large baby boy. I am hopeful that he has his grandpa's height (6'2") with his daddy's stockiness when he gets a little older (would be very good athlete material!).

I have started doing minimal research into some of the ice hockey programs here in central Texas and found a good ice rink (Chaparral Icethat isn't extremely far from our town, so this is a good thing. They have learn to skate programs for children as young as 3 years old, but I plan on taking him to public skates and slowly introducing him to the ice between 2 and 2 years 6 months of age. Hopefully with some effort from Mama H and I, we can have him already skating in that year or so and get him directly into the learn to play format. If he takes to the game and shows promise, I hope to get him on a travel team such as the Texas Junior Stars or Pond Mallards.

Anyhow, that is the only update I have for now, be it an important one to the future of this blog! Be back with another update further down the road. Until then, Cheers from the Texas Hockey Dad, and Baby H!
